Meet the Founder
Hi, my name is Brittney Silver!
I’ve worked in high complexity toxicology and molecular laboratories for years – first beginning at the bench as testing personnel and then eventually serving as a general supervisor. Over that time, I kept running into the same issue: as a general supervisor, I found myself juggling responsibilities outside of my own with almost no support or communication from the technical supervisor or laboratory director. Always finding myself figuring out and placing compliancy items on my own.
When I began noticing this exact same pattern across multiple laboratories, I began to realize – this isn’t just “my experience”—it is the experience of so many people in my position. That frustration is what planted the seed for Silver Lining Laboratory Consulting. I wanted to become the technical supervisor that I never had. Someone dependable, down-to-earth, responsive, and genuinely there to help. Someone who has the framework ready for my team so that no one is rushing around trying to stay compliant while not really even knowing what ‘being compliant’ really even means.
As I began consulting, I saw even more clearly how many labs are struggling with unclear guidance, confusing expectations, or inconsistent information. There’s a lot of noise out there, and it leaves good people feeling overwhelmed. My goal isn’t to call anyone out—just to offer something different: honest support, real clarity, and a place where laboratory professionals feel understood instead of dismissed or taken advantage of.
